Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Description: Staengl Engineering is looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer who shares our company commitment to designing cutting-edge energy-efficient, high-performance buildings. Ideally, you’ll be a licensed Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering with 5 to 10 years of experience designing electrical systems for commercial and multi-family residential buildings in Revit. If you have experience managing MEP projects and designing alternative energy systems and micro-grids that would also be a plus.

This is not an entry-level position, so recent graduates should not apply. Also, you must be eligible to live and work in the USA (we’re sorry, we are currently not able to sponsor visa applicants).

You’ll be a great fit if you’re self-motivated, independent and comfortable working in a small, growing company environment. This position is full-time and is based in our new office in downtown Charlottesville, VA. 

Skills / Requirements: 

· You have an Electrical Engineering degree
· You have at least 5 years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings
· You have your Professional Engineer License in    Electrical Engineering in at least one U.S. State
· You have expertise in Revit
· You have experience with alternative energy systems (solar, wind)
· You have project management experience
