New York Recognizes its Buildings of Excellence

We are honored that two of our projects have been recognized by the NYSERDA Buildings of Excellence Awards! The Colonial II Apartments was designed with Beacon Communities Services LLC, Rida Architecture, and New Ecology, Inc. This redevelopment plans to achieve Net-Zero Energy and Carbon through a combination of on-site geothermal wells for heating and cooling, heat pump water heaters, and solar photovoltaic arrays

In collaboration with Pathstone Corporation, SWBR, and Sustainable Comfort, Inc., the Baird Road Apartments was awarded $1M for its fossil fuel-free systems, use of low-carbon materials, resilient characteristics, and Net-Zero Energy benchmark. Additionally, the building is targeting PHIUS+ 2018, WELL, and Enterprise Green Communities 2020 certifications. We would like to thank NYSERDA and our fellow team members who continue to challenge building standards and strive for excellence in multi-family housing design.
