Faircliff Plaza

PROJECT GOAL:

Faircliff Plaza is a 125 unit, 120,000 square foot affordable housing development in Washington, DC. Developed by Jonathan Rose Company, Sommerset Development Company and Housing Up, and Designed by Eric Colbert and Associates. The building is all-electric with zero primary energy usage from fossil fuels. It will achieve Passive House Institute U.S. (PHIUS CORE 2021) and LEED Platinum certification – these standards will result in certification as the greenest multifamily building in Washington, D.C. The project will also be one of the first Phius certified multi-family buildings with ducted range exhaust in each of the apartments, balancing excellent indoor air quality with unparalleled energy efficiency.
